Getting Tired of mini drawing? 10 Sources of Inspiration That’ll Rekindle Your Love
Mini drawing is a quick project created to get your brain in the right frame of mind to work with your sketchbook. Each drawing is a little different, so you can experiment with different ink, pens, and paper to get the most out of the drawing.
Mini drawing is just as much about getting the brain in the right frame of mind as it is about drawing. The brain is capable of a lot more than a quick sketch, and if it has a tendency to get stuck in the moment, it might be a good idea to think about the possibilities before committing to a drawing.
Mini drawing allows you to “pause” your drawing for just a moment. Even though you’re working on a very small scale, you can still get the full effect of the drawing. It also helps to get the brain in the right frame of mind to be able to work with your sketch. Here’s an example: Take a good look at the drawing below.
Now, try to put yourself in the artist’s position. Think about the medium that best suits your drawing, and what you might want to use a marker for. You could use watercolors, or charcoal, or graphite. Or you could use a drawing pencil, or graphite pencil. Or you could use a charcoal pencil. Or you could use oil paint. Or you could use gouache. Or you could use ink. Or you could use a brush.
The medium doesn’t matter in the end, but there are many rules of thumb to follow when figuring out the medium. The more you draw, the more you’ll learn, which is great. The more you draw, the more you’ll be able to improve on your previous work, and the more you’ll be able to apply the principles and techniques to your own artwork.
There are many different mediums out there, and you should always try to use one that suits your aesthetic as much as your skill. This will often result in a much smoother, crisper drawing. Because as you get better at the medium, the more youll be able to draw and paint with, which is ideal.
For this new mini that’s been given to us for review, I used a combination of a pen and a ballpoint pen. I used the pen for a variety of effects, like giving the brush tip some movement and adding some shadow to the background. The ballpoint pen was for adding a bit of texture and depth to the drawing.
You may be wondering why I included the mini at all. Well, because it’s so damn good. The mini is a 3′ x 3′ panel (approximately 13cm x 12cm) that I used to take a series of sketches and paint in on the computer’s canvas. It’s a really nice piece of art because it gives you a lot of room to play with.
But it does have one small flaw. The mini only has one line of text. Why? Well, because I wanted to use the pen for a bunch of different effects. I really wanted the brush to have more movement, so I decided to add a couple of lines on the top of the line. But when I started painting it, the text didn’t seem to move at all. It was only the line that was moving! So, I had to change the line to something else.
