I have always been fascinated by the managed labor market. In fact I have written about the subject extensively. In the past I have written about the issue of labor in the construction industry and how it negatively affects us. I have also written about the issue of wage theft and how our communities are still suffering from this issue. One of the solutions to this problem is to get people on a more equal footing. The managed labor market helps this.
In the past, construction companies gave workers no benefits, no sick leave, no vacation, and no insurance. These factors were not ideal and were designed to keep employers from running into legal trouble. Today, many companies are giving their workers health insurance, a 401K, and other benefits. It’s an issue that is becoming more common as companies have to compete more for talent.
These companies are making it more difficult for one to work for them. A person in an industry like construction is at the mercy of the companies that own the land, the city, and the company itself. This is not a good situation. This is a very serious issue. For every worker who has health insurance, there are many more who do not.
They may have a 401K, a pension plan, and other benefits, but what about the workers? A lot of these unions are run by corrupt and incompetent labor unions who are stealing money from their members.
The fact is that people who are members of unions have a much clearer and better idea of what is going on with their fellow workers and the unions that represent them. That is, there are many more workers who are aware of the issues facing their fellow workers and have a greater understanding of what they can do.
One thing working class people do very well is to understand their own communities and to form their own local organizations. Most unions are run by wealthy people who are afraid of their members, and they are afraid of being told to do things by their own members. It’s not that they are not aware of these issues but that they don’t want to listen to their members.
The biggest problem that workers face is that there are no organized groups on the left to speak up for them. They are usually told that they should be getting involved in the unions, but they cannot do much more than vote on things that are already done. When they leave their jobs, they have no way to make other workers aware of the injustices. Its like they are in a time loop, and our very own time loop.
The right to unionize has been a major issue in Wisconsin. But what these workers are doing is making sure that the majority of the country is aware of what is really going on. These workers are not only fighting for the rights of workers, they are taking action to make sure that no one else has to go through this.
And finally, because they aren’t working, they are free to leave and go to another company. But if they do, they are forced to work for the company that has the largest union. They are then forced to do all of the same work as before. And the company that is now paying them to work for is even less likely to protect them because it’s not working for the majority of the country.
