And since Apple won’t have the latest iOS 7 build out to us until June 30, I’m guessing you will have to wait for it. The iPhone 4S will be released on June 17th and the iPad mini on June 18th. There is no way to tell yet, but I would expect the 4S to have a slightly different design than the mini. If the mini is any indication, there is no way to tell the difference between iPad 4 and iPad mini.

The 4S is already sporting a different design, but Apple’s website says the iPad mini will have a 5.5 inch screen size and an “iPad mini” is listed as a 3.5 inch screen size. But there is no way to tell the difference between the two, so it’s entirely unclear what the iPad mini is capable of until Apple releases the 4S.

I do wonder if the design could have been better. The iPad mini is almost certainly going to have a screen size somewhere in between the 4 and 4S, and I can’t imagine Apple would go ahead and make a 3.5 inch version of the mini just so they can hide the 4S beneath it.

So if the iPad mini is the iPad 4S, how could this be possible? The iPad mini is actually a mini version of the 4S, not the iPad 4. Since the iPad 4 is now just a smaller version of the 4S, the iPad mini must be the iPad 4S in disguise.
