11 Ways to Completely Ruin Your inclusion starts with i
It is important to include yourself in your decision making process, but not all decisions should be made alone. Whether you are thinking about building a new home, buying a new home, or getting married, it’s important to have your own voice in what you want.
I know this is just a suggestion, but at the very least, having a friend or someone who knows what you are thinking about is important. Sometimes you are just so consumed with what you want that you don’t even have time to consider the other options.
When we talk about inclusion, we’re really talking about people’s perceptions of their own capabilities. For instance, when I’m building a new home I have to hire a contractor to do my entire job. I have to give him a list of all the things I need for the job and he has to do it all, from cutting the trees, to installing the roof, to finishing the floor.
I don’t have a problem with what he does. I think its a great job. But if I hire another contractor and he does it better, I have a problem. There’s a fine line between hiring the best and the best that’s not getting better.
One of the more bizarre things about the inclusion process is the fact that it seems to only include people who are willing to work for free. I know this to be true because when I started taking on clients, they always seemed to be the ones who had a lot of time on their hands. When I asked them why they had no time to do the jobs I’d hired them for, they’d all say, “Because I was busy building the house instead of doing the job.
The inclusion process is one of the biggest hurdles for new consultants. It is one of the only reasons why the only people who get hired at the new job are those who need the work. Most consultants don’t want to work for free. In fact, they don’t want to work at all, which is why they do the work. They will work for free so they can use their time productively.
When i was new to consulting, I was told I would make $5,000 a month for the next year. When I refused to sign a contract I was told I would make $6,000 a month. I was told I would make $6,000 a month for the next year. After that, I was told I was making $9,000 a month. I was told I was making $10,000 a month for the next year.
That’s a pretty big difference. As I said earlier, they might not even know what a consulting contract is. They might be told that you will work for free and then they’ll keep you on forever.
The truth is that consulting contracts are pretty common these days. Most companies ask their employees to sign these contracts in exchange for a paycheck. It sounds pretty good to them. After all, they’re working with a company and they’ve worked with them in the past. But when that paycheck isn’t enough to cover the costs of a consulting contract, they can’t afford to give someone else a better job. So they hire the next guy.
