Although I didnt think of it before, I recently had a conversation with a fellow who uses a different car company that was having the same issue. The only way for a computer to do something is to have some power to do it. And it’s the computer’s power that makes the AI so powerful. So the question is… is this power to do what it does in the real world? Or is it just AI? There are a lot of computer scientists who believe it is the latter. That is, that computers are not really computers and that they are just doing things that we can only imagine they are doing.
AI is a broad term. Many types of computers can simulate a certain type of behavior. This includes a set of algorithms that are so good that they can predict what will happen in a situation that is so complex that no human could even comprehend it.
The idea behind artificial intelligence is that the algorithms could be so smart that they can mimic the behavior of a human being who is as smart as an AI, but without the need for a human being to constantly monitor the computer and make sure it is doing what is necessary for the computer to be doing. In other words, a computer could be programmed to do something very specific, and then if something else came up, the computer would just adapt without the need for a human being.
AI is something that is still too far into the future for us to really get a good idea of what an AI would be capable of, but it does raise an interesting possibility. Can a computer be programmed with an infinite amount of knowledge at the same time so that it can take in information it doesn’t know and still know what to do with it? Maybe this is what happens when you’re constantly being told what to do by a human being.
